PRESIDENT OF THE MILAN TRIENNALE

“The restoration of the contemporary is an increasingly central theme and is inextricably linked to the areas of conservation, promotion and enhancement of works of art and design. For Triennale Milano – with its Museum of Italian Design and its collection – deepening research and training in this field, also thanks to collaborations with Italian and international museums and institutions is also fundamental in view of a wider spreading of knowledge”.

Triennale Milano is an international institution that brings together the languages of contemporary culture: design, architecture, visual and performing arts.
A place of exchange and dialogue between art and design, creativity and technology, tradition and innovation. Triennale organises exhibitions, meetings, conferences, shows; proposes new points of view on the central issues of current affairs and public debate. Triennale is based in Milan in the Palazzo dell’Arte, built in 1933 by the Milanese architect Giovanni Muzio and designed as a modular and flexible building. Inside there is a theatre, and, from April 2019, the Museum of Italian Design, created to promote and enhance the institution’s permanent collection, which brings together 1,600 objects among the most iconic and representative pieces of Italian design. Every three years, Triennale Milano presents the International Exhibition, one of the most important events dedicated to design and architecture, whose next edition will be held in 2022.
